He was part of the core operations team of HCL during Hewlett-Packard's formation of its first joint venture outside of HP entities, “HCL Hewlett Packard”, to manufacture the HP range of computers in India. Nishish was a Senior Vice-President of Strategic Operations in India for HCL prior to becoming the head of HCL’s subsidiary in Canada.
Nishish is a mechanical engineering graduate and distinguished alumnus of G.B. Pant University of India. He has studied management at the post-graduate level and has several years of experience in engineering, sales, mergers and acquisitions, startup operations, and international business.
A recipient of several awards, most recently “Bihar Asmita Samman” 2010, Nishish has been part of various IT task forces. He represented HCL in the Prime Minister of India’s first IT task force during 2000, and was also an active member of the Chief Minister of New Delhi's IT task force. A known Indo-Canadian IT Veteran, Nishish has served on the board of “Smart-Centre” (a Government of Manitoba initiative) to accelerate the growth of technology companies in Manitoba, Canada. He has been the Vice Chair of Manitoba-India business advisory group. Currently, Nishish sits on several boards and most recently served as an Ambassador to India for the Canada Technology Triangle from Waterloo region. He is also a member on the board for CTFF (Canada Technology for Food).
